Karen Purser – Reporting Manager
I am the Reporting Manager and PA to the Managing Director for Harriet Ellis. I have over 15 years’ experience of working within Administration and am responsible for all Reporting for the ILR, along with assisting the Managing Director on a daily basis. My position within the company provides me with a variety of knowledge of the business, including its key role within the Dental Industry. I am very proud to work within such a successful and passionate organisation delivering excellence.
Sarah King – Finance
I am Finance Manager for Harriet Ellis. I am responsible for the businesses finances, Financial reporting and the financial aspect of projects within the business. I am a qualified Accountant and have a wealth of knowledge in my field although my experience of Dental nursing is purely from a customer perspective and the knowledge I’ve gained since I’ve been with Harriet Ellis.
Emma Shelley – Business Development
I have devised a number of solutions to help and support companies of all sizes with their Apprenticeship needs over the last 7 years. This includes managing recruitment process and organising training needs across the country to provide a bespoke option for companies looking to hire apprentices or upskill current staff members. Managing projects for levy contributing employers by identifying skills gaps for new apprenticeships and providing a structured model for existing staff members.
Beth Mulchinock – Lead IQA
I am the lead dental educationalist and manage the delivery aspect of the apprenticeship programme. I started my career in Dentistry as a Dental Nurse quickly progressing to be an Oral Health Educator and completing postgraduate qualifications in Dental Radiography, Orthodontic Nursing, Fluoride Application, plaque scoring, clinical photography and impression taking and vacuum tray forming. I am completing my level 5 qualification in education and training, I have a level 4 qualification in assessment and IQA and enjoy investing time in developing the new workforce and inspiring people to dedicate to a job I love. My biggest joy was leading a team to spread messages of Oral Cancer awareness including the impact of the HPV virus during a project to receive national and regional media attention- I have just also started a Hons degree in Buisness Management
Kelly Reynolds – Dental Educationalist
My name is Kelly Reynolds – I have been a dental nurse for 13 years.
I have post graduate qualifications in Radiography, Sedation and Implants. I have a diploma in treatment Co-ordination also.
I have been working for Harriet Ellis for 4 years now. I am the Dental Educationalist for the North East region.
Lynn O’Connell – Dental Educationalist
I’ve worked in an NHS dental practice all my dental nursing career and in my current NHS practice for 11 years as senior dental nurse where my role is now mainly office duties which fill my working hours. I’ve been tutoring for 4 years with Harriet Ellis; initially in traditional weekly classes in Liverpool and Manchester. Now I’m solely in Manchester teaching blended classes which are a mix of online and classroom. Looking forward to a new challenge training dental nurses on the apprenticeship scheme by supporting them and using my years of experience in the role of the dental nurse to help build the future of the trainees I support at present and those in the future.
Eleasha Dowson – Dental Educationalist
I’m qualified dental nurse and dental educationalist. I have been nursing since 2011 and have had the opportunity to work in and experience several different dental specialties over the years, such as general dentistry, orthodontics, community, and maxillofacial. I have recently qualified as a dental educationalist as I would like to share the knowledge, skills and experiences I have gained over the years with other apprentice dental nurses, helping them with their qualification and journey to experience the interesting aspects of dentistry for themselves.
Anna Curson – Dental Educationalist
I started working as a dental nurse in 1996 and qualified in 97. I have worked in all settings ranging from a community outreach caravan to different specialists within private practice. I completed my post registration qualification in radiography, sedation, oral health educator and have an interest in forensic dentistry. For the last 12 years I have been training and supporting nurses through the different qualifications which I thoroughly enjoy and have a love for teaching.
Surya Tahir – Functional Skills Coordinator
I have been a qualified maths teacher for 20 years and have taught in schools and colleges throughout the London area. The last 10 years have been spent working in the Further Education sector, teaching maths at a variety of levels including GCSE, functional skills and A-level. I also have experience in distance learning through my position as an associate lecturer. This has given me an insight into working with adult learners who often juggle the demands of family, work and study. I embrace the opportunity of supporting students online using a blended learning approach. As well as using the VLE to check progress of students working remotely, I look forward to using a live online classroom to support learners on a more individual level.
